Day 9 - Faceless Self Portrait

How does one do a faceless self portrait?  I have no clue!  Here is my best guess!

Day 8 - Technology

Jack, my nephew, playing on Colby's iPhone.  Thanks to these things the kids are entertained when we go to the winery!

Day 7 - Something New

Mr. Rooster!  We scored him at a restaurant in Dripping Springs this weekend!

Day 6 - Childhood Memory

You are looking at 3 yr. old Meme!  I believe I am making fun of how my dad always sticks his tongue out of the side of his mouth when he is doing hard work!

Day 5 - Someone I Love

Day 3 - Clouds

Colby and I ran some errands today that subsisted of him getting a haircut and buying a deep fryer.  We are now consumed with making hot wings.   We used to be big time fryers but even with a vent I get sick from the smoke.  Now we are free to fry up whatever we can think of.  So far Colby has nixed my shrimp and calamari dreams.  Boo!!!  Just don't hold me back from the french fries and fried fish!

These pictures were taken on our way home from Corpus Christi to Portland over the Harbor Bridge and Causeway.

Day 2 - What I Wore

Ugh, I hate taking pictures of myself.  I also think I have no style whatsoever so who cares what I am wearing!  But nevertheless this is Day 2's assignment and after this the worse is over!!

I totally am dressing for comfort this week due to the fact that is intersession.  This morning I went with Colby to the doctor's office.  He's been sick since Thursday so it was time to go and get some meds.  Then we went to HEB and I scored on 4 bottles of expensive wine for $25!  They are having major clearances due to the changing season! I am sure I looked like a major wino but it feels good to have the wine holder stocked!

Day 1 - Self Portrait

Just a warning, I will probably be using the camera on my iPhone for this challenge the most just because it's easiest!  Here is a self-portrait of me and my dog, Joplin.  She is a lovee dovee.

Madonna is my Homegirl

Remember those t-shirts?  I always wanted one but I never had the balls to sport it.  I blame my catholic upbringing (they were Mary themed).  Anyways, Madonna has always been one of my favorite people.  I call her a hero of mine because I can remember being 6 years old and dancing around the house to her music and thinking, "This lady is awesome."  and look she still is.  Yeah, there were some times when she freaked me out a little,  I still can't listen to Justify my Love .  What was that period in her life about?  I defend it by saying, "Hey, at least she wasn't afraid to do what she wanted."

I will always hold her in the highest regard, but I wish she would take it easy on the exercise.

My all time favorite picture.  We have this as a painting in our office.

I still want those fishnets.

I want to take a picture just like this.

New tab and new blog...

First check out my Shop my Closet tab above!  I am giving up on ebay.  I get suckered into spending all the money I make back on the website.  And I loathe paypal right now! Don't even get me started!

I also have a blog for my kindergarten class that I would love for everyone to go checkout!!  http://212kindergarden.blogspot.com/

picnic photo editing

Photoshop is expensive!  Picnik is not.  I suggest if you don't want to pay thousands of dollars that you go to picnik.com to edit your photos.  It's super quick and easy!  Here are four that I did in 10 minutes!!

My beer is out of this world!!!

A big thank you to Monique for being my first comment!  Now I can stop thinking, "Somebody please comment on this stupid blog so I know what I am doing isn't stupid!"

Oh, Gwen!

Gwen Stefani is tied as a hero of mine with two other women who will be named at a later date but are easily guessed.

I love Gwen, and I am pretty sure if I ever had the chance to meet her I would crumble into a pile of tears.  I wish I had the balls to dye my hair platinum and wear red lipstick daily, but I don't.

My love for her stems back to 15 years old and feeling so misunderstood and angry.  Gwen's songs were mine to vent how I was feeling.  I still can relate to those songs from High School and I can relate to all of the songs from No Doubts other albums and her solo albums.
