Goodbye lazy days...

Today is my last full day of my summer break.  I teach kindergarten in a district that has a year round school, so we only have a 6 week summer.  I am sad about not getting to water my plants in the morning anymore and not getting to spend lots and lots of time with the fur babies.  But I am getting very bored and when I get bored I spend money.  So, with that being said I am ready to get back to school.  Plus, we have a bunch of fun things coming up like our anniversary trip to Gruene, TX, a Jim Gaffigan concert,  and the Austin City Limits Festival. 

I am also in the process of setting up an Etsy shop to sell my pictures.  So check back for the update on that! 

Mom's Butterflies

My  mom loves butterflies.  She has a butterfly house where she houses caterpillars and then feeds them throughout their life cycle until they hatch.  After they hatch she releases them.  She also has tons of butterfly plants that attract them and then they lay their eggs on them.

Dream Subject - Shirley Manson

Shirley Manson has been a big influence on me every since my freshman year in high school.  I would cut all the pictures I could find out of magazines and print out pictures from the internet and decorate my room with her pictures.  Love her, love her music, love her style.  She is so different looking and she embraces that. Also, a little known and random fact... she loves the San Antonio Spurs!  Go, Spurs, Go!

iPhone Pictures

 Sadly when we got iPhones last year they totally replaced the need for my point and shoot digital.  But they take awesome pictures and the photo apps are awesome.  And most you can get for free!  Another plus for the iPhone camera you can just upload it to a website, email or text your pictures within seconds. 

Bold Makeup

Makeup is one of my most favorite things.  I love putting it on, I love putting it on other people and now I really want to do a session with extreme and bold makeup.

Parasol - Inspiration

I love parasols.  I even used one for my bridal shoot.  There is something about them that is so ladylike and charming.

Houston

 This weekend we went to Houston for the weekend.  We stayed downtown at the Magnolia, and on Saturday we went to the Astros game with some friends.  We had a great time.  Here are some pictures from the trip.
